Market Wrap report for the week ended 21 December 2007

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

The KLCI eased below the 1,400 points early in the week before recouping its losses to close at 1,403.56 points, nearly unchanged for the week.

Most regional markets eased following news of further sub-prime mortgage write-downs by several U.S. financial institutions.

The local market is expected to continue to take its cue from regional markets as investors monitor the outlook for economic growth and interest rates in the U.S.
